“Porsche Taycan made by Xiaomi?” Xiaomi's first electric car SU7 unveiled
Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi's first electric vehicle, the SU7, has been unveiled. Xiaomi SU7 is a four-door electric sedan that is close to cutting-edge electronic devices, unlike electric vehicles made by automobile manufacturers, as expected from electric vehicles made by electronics companies.
Xiaomi SU7, unveiled through China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is characterized by its sleek and elegant lines. Overall, models from several car manufacturers come to mind, with the overall layout being similar to the Porsche Taycan and the headlamp style being similar to McLaren's headlamp style.
In addition, the front bonnet parting line is reminiscent of the Tesla Model 3 and is a mixture of the designs of several cars, and features a LiDAR sensor located at the top of the windshield.
Depending on the vehicle specifications, 19-inch or 20-inch wheels can be selected, and the wheelbase size is 3,000mm, which is equivalent to that of the Ioniq 5. It is expected to provide ample interior space with a longer wheelbase than the Tesla 3.
Trim is operated in three trims. Starting with the basic SU7, it operates as SU7 Pro and SU7 Max trims, and it is noticeable that they use naming similar to that of a smartphone. It is reported that the top trim will be equipped with an active rear spoiler.
The basic powertrain is a rear-wheel drive model with a maximum output of 295 horsepower. The top-level dual motor AWD model produces a maximum of 665 horsepower and a maximum speed of 265 km/L. The top speed is relatively high among electric vehicles.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi SU7 is expected to use Xiaomi's exclusive Hyper OS, which provides seamless connectivity with smartphones.
