Hyundai Motor Company's Santa Fe
Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the All New Santa Fe North American model at the 2023 LA Auto Show held at the LA Convention Center on the 16th (local time). At this exhibition, the mass-produced model of the previously unveiled Santa Fe XRT concept was also unveiled, attracting attention.
The new Santa Fe XRT is a model that attracted a lot of attention with the XRT concept car that was unveiled at the World Premiere last August. The mass-produced XRT trim unveiled this time is based on the Prestige trim and features an off-road specialized design.
The front part is the same as the regular Prestige model, but what stands out is the addition of thin and long additional air intake holes in the center of the upper and lower grilles. In addition, a skid plate at the bottom of the bumper is applied to create an image unique to the XRT trim.
On the side, 18-inch wheels finished in black color stand out. Here, 30-inch all-terrain tires are installed to improve actual off-road driving performance. In addition, the XRT trim is not just a simple off-road design package, but also takes actual rough road driving into consideration by increasing the ground clearance by 1.5 inches (38 mm).
The overall atmosphere of the interior is the same as the regular model. Representative examples include a wide display with two 12.3-inch displays side by side, two wireless charging pads, and an electronic column gear lever.
Here, the XRT trim features XRT lettering inserted into the seat backrest. XRT lettering is attached not only to the seat but also to the back of the exterior.
The new Santa Fe is operated with a 2.5 gasoline turbo engine and a 1.6 liter turbo hybrid engine in the North American market. The two engines are identical to the powertrains operated in Korea, and the transmissions are also the same.
